A leading, real estate web site singled out Port Aransas and quoted our developer in recent spotlight.

GlobeSt.com reporter Lisa Dill talked with Jeff Lamkin, developer of Cinnamon Shore, to learn more about why more and more Texans are discovering what long-time fans of Port Aransas already know: It's a beach town beloved for broad sands, great fishing, and affordable coastal real estate.

Dill reports that "some of the most affordable investment beach towns are located in Texas’ Gulf Coast, namely Port Aransas with 18 beachfront miles on Mustang Island."  She notes that the average 50-foot Gulf-front lot costs less than $1 million, which is "well below the $4 to $5 million-plus average found in coastal California and Florida," she writes.

Great floor plans at the beach start with imagination. They start as architects and designers envision, along with clients, how spaces will be used.

If you're building from the ground up, they imagine with you how the home will be used not by just anyone, but by you and your family.

If they're designing for the beach, they spend a lot of time thinking about the elements, including the view corridors to the water. "A lot of the decisions are very site specific," says Jim Kissling, whose firm, Kissling Architecture, has designed 40 or more homes at Cinnamon Shore. "You have breezes, the way the sun hits it, to consider. Is the view an east or west orientation? All those things come into play."
